I attended a pre valentine party.
It consisted of pushing a wheel barrow for about a kilometer to fetch water.
My community has not had any power supply for almost a month and it is very annoying because we can’t pump water, or iron out clothes.
I have to take my clothes to work to get them ironed out. It is almost humiliating to wear nice crinkled (not d design) clothes.
Now, I call it a pre valentine party because I went with four other girls. We walked all the way, and the old man we were buying water from, loaned me his barrow.
On our way back home the first time, we bought pineapples.
After going three times, we returned the old man’s barrow.
We went and ate rice that had been earlier cooked, and topped it up with lovely juicy pineapples.
It was a rather tiring party. And it is not out of fun that we will have to wheel the barrow again…it is out of absolute necessity.
